Firstcall is working closely with a forward-thinking funds business in Guernsey that is well renowned for providing high calibre fund client servicing. The business is looking to onboard an experienced funds professional for the role of Fund Officer in their Guernsey office.

Reporting to the Fund Manager, you’ll be taking charge of ensuring the smooth day to day administration various key strategic clients. You’ll gain the chance to work on other funds that are administered by the firm over time.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Working closely with the accounting team on bookkeeping and accounting matters, effectively liaising and communicating with internal team members / clients / professional advisers, assisting in the set up of new funds and monitoring your team’s workload
  • Calculating and paying on behalf of the fund any fees and expenses that are payable and arranging FX deals, transfer of funds and approval and payment of all invoices
  • Reviewing and reconciling bank accounts, reviewing and calculating cash position, and ensuring that all regulatory and statutory reporting requirements are met and that each structure’s cash meets policies and SLA
  • Working closely with the Company Secretarial team when needed to ensure that continuing obligations are met in relation to relevant stock exchange listings and any other other which may be required

You’ll possess extensive funds expertise, solid technical accounting skills, outstanding organisational skills and the ability to both work within a team structure as well as to inspire and train your team members. You will get the chance to contribute in the development of the firm’s IT systems and to make contributions to the strategic plans of the business.
