Trust Client Accountant

One of our valued clients, a small and close‑knit financial services team, is seeking a Trust Client Accountant to join their Guernsey office. This role offers a supportive environment, strong team cohesion and hands‑on accounting exposure across a variety of client structures.

The role focuses on delivering high‑quality accounting services, preparing statutory and management accounts, completing financial filings and supporting broader operational processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing accounting transactions, preparing financial statements and completing reconciliations for designated client entities.
• Supporting colleagues with accounting queries, assisting with tax returns (including ATED, Guernsey and UK filings) and preparing FATCA/CRS reports.
• Providing general operational support including payment processing, updating procedures, maintaining compliance and assisting with regulatory submissions.
• Acting as an authorised signatory, liaising with clients and external partners, producing management information and contributing to process improvement and automation.

This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied workload within a small but collaborative team who is detail-oriented, organised and confident managing deadlines and multiple priorities. You should also be a strong communicator, who is capable of liaising with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
