Career Change Isn’t a Leap — It’s a Transition

Making a career change can feel daunting. Whether you’re exploring new opportunities or questioning where your strengths might fit, it’s easy to wonder if you’re making the right move. At its heart, career change is about recognising your value — and having the right people behind you.

For me, the journey from hospitality, to charity and community work, to standing for Deputy, and ultimately moving into recruitment has been guided by one simple principle: people matter, and listening creates impact.

Hospitality: Where People Skills Begin

My career started in hospitality — a fast‑paced world where listening, empathy, and adaptability are essential. Far more than customer service, it taught me how to connect quickly, understand individual needs, and create positive experiences under pressure.

These skills became the foundation for everything that followed.

Community Work and Standing for Deputy: Understanding People on a Deeper Level

Stepping into charitable and community roles, and later standing for Deputy, expanded my perspective. Public service is ultimately about listening to concerns, understanding diverse viewpoints, and supporting people through real challenges.

It strengthened my belief that meaningful work is rooted in honest conversations and genuine care for others.

Recruitment: A Natural Next Step

Recruitment may seem like a different path, but for me it brought together everything I value: people, purpose, and support.

Today, I help individuals navigate some of the most significant decisions in their working lives. My background helps me build trust, understand motivations, and guide both candidates and employers toward choices that feel right — not just on paper, but in real life.

Career Change Isn’t Starting Again — It’s Building on Who You Already Are

Many people assume a career change means starting from scratch. The truth is the opposite.
Your skills, experiences, and personal qualities travel with you.

Communication, empathy, leadership, problem‑solving — these strengths are universal and incredibly valuable across roles and industries.

My own story is proof that your path doesn’t have to be linear for it to be meaningful.

You Don’t Have to Make the Journey Alone

Every day, we meet people who are exploring change or searching for clarity in their next step. Our role isn’t just to connect people with job opportunities — it’s to guide, support, and advise based on a deep understanding of who they are and where they want to go.

If you’re considering a new direction, unsure how your skills translate, or simply looking for someone to listen, we’re here to help.

Change becomes easier when you don’t face it alone.
