Senior Associate – Litigation

A prominent international law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its Litigation team in Jersey.

This is a high-profile opportunity for a senior litigator who is ready to take principal ownership of complex matters, work directly with clients and play an influential role in the growth and strategic direction of an international litigation practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing and coordinating a varied portfolio of litigation matters, including legal research, drafting opinions, reviewing documentation and preparing cases for court.
• Acting as a principal contact for clients, delivering clear, commercial and timely advice with minimal Partner intervention.
• Delegating work to paralegals, legal assistants and junior lawyers, while supporting their supervision, motivation and professional development.
• Collaborating with Partners and lawyers across multiple jurisdictions to develop new business, implement practice plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.

You should be a commercially minded lawyer (possess a Jersey, UK or recognised Commonwealth legal qualification and be 6+ years’ PQE) who is comfortable taking ownership of assignments and working independently with an appropriate level of Partner oversight, and has had some experience of delegating work and supervising junior colleagues, as well as an interest in mentoring and developing others.
