Associate – Litigation

A leading international law firm is seeking an accomplished Senior Associate to join its Litigation team in Jersey.

This is a senior, client-facing opportunity offering significant responsibility for complex litigation matters, extensive autonomy and the chance to help shape the continued development of a highly regarded, multi-jurisdictional practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Taking principal responsibility for a varied portfolio of litigation matters, including legal research, drafting opinions, reviewing documentation and preparing cases for court.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing timely, commercially focused advice and consistently delivering an outstanding professional service.
• Delegating work to paralegals, legal assistants and junior lawyers, while actively supporting their supervision, motivation and professional development.
• Working closely with Partners and colleagues across different jurisdictions to implement strategic plans, develop new business and identify opportunities to expand the firm’s services and client base.

You should possess a Jersey, UK or recognised Commonwealth legal qualification and have 6+ years’ post-qualification experience. In addition, you should possess strong technical knowledge, excellent drafting and research capabilities and significant experience managing litigation matters as well as supervising or delegating to junior colleagues.
