Group Assistant Tax Business Partner

A leading international professional services group is seeking a Group Assistant Tax Business Partner to join its growing tax team. This role can be based in Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man or London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with fiduciary experience who is looking to broaden their technical expertise, take on supervisory responsibilities and work across a diverse portfolio of trusts and companies.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of trust and company clients, ensuring all tax compliance and reporting obligations are completed accurately and on time.
• Preparing and reviewing a variety of tax returns and reporting requirements, including Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax, VAT, ATED and Inheritance Tax.
• Reviewing work completed by junior team members, providing coaching, technical guidance and ongoing development support.
• Acting as a key point of contact for tax-related queries from clients, colleagues and professional advisers, while assisting with more complex tax matters.

You should have a minimum of 3 years’ tax experience within professional services, fiduciary services or a related environment, hold or are working towards a professional qualification such as ATT, STEP, ACCA or equivalent, possess strong technical knowledge of UK taxation, with knowledge of other jurisdictions considered advantageous.

Candidates should also have experience working with trusts, companies and fiduciary structures, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, be confident reviewing work, identifying technical issues and delivering practical solutions and enjoy building relationships and communicating with clients, advisers and colleagues at all levels.
