People Advisor – 12 Months FTC

An established financial services organisation is seeking an experienced People Advisor to join its collaborative People Services team on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Guernsey OR Jersey.

This is a hands-on, administration-focused recruitment role with genuine influence across the full hiring journey, from candidate attraction and pre-employment screening through to onboarding, probation and process improvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, using LinkedIn and other online channels to identify potential candidates and helping to coordinate interviews and recruitment activity.
• Acting as a key contact for candidates, hiring managers and recruitment agencies, providing regular updates and creating a professional, positive candidate experience.
• Coordinating pre-employment screening, onboarding and Day One activities, ensuring documentation, equipment, systems access and induction arrangements are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitoring probation milestones, maintaining accurate recruitment records and management information, and supporting audits, compliance reviews and improvements to recruitment processes.

You should have at least two years’ recruitment experience, together with a good understanding of the Guernsey and Jersey employment markets. A Level 3 qualification in Recruitment Practice, CIPD equivalent or similar would be preferred, while previous in-house or financial services experience would be advantageous.
