Project Accountant – JERSEY OR GUERNSEY

A key financial services employer is seeking a Project Accountant to join its Finance team on a six‑month contract. This role is based in either Guernsey or Jersey and sits at the heart of a period of transformation, systems change and increasing regulatory demand.

This is a hands‑on project role for a qualified accountant who thrives in change environments, combining financial reporting expertise with process improvement and systems enhancement to deliver tangible, long‑lasting improvements.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting finance transformation initiatives, reviewing end‑to‑end finance processes and implementing practical improvements
• Acting as a finance subject matter expert on systems enhancements, supporting testing, reconciliation, optimisation and post‑implementation embedding
• Strengthening financial controls, governance and documentation across finance operations, month‑end close and reporting
• Supporting financial, statutory and regulatory reporting while assisting audit activity and remediation actions

This role would suit a confident communicator who can engage stakeholders and translate complex finance processes into practical solutions and would therefore be ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, problem‑solving and seeing projects through to completion
