Senior Associate / Counsel – Litigation

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading offshore law firm for an ambitious and experienced Senior Associate / Counsel to join its established Litigation practice in Guernsey.

This role offers the chance to advise on complex, high-quality contentious and regulatory matters for a broad range of financial services, corporate, fiduciary and private client clients, within a high-performing and supportive offshore legal team. 

Responsibilities include:

• Advising on a wide range of litigation and contentious regulatory matters for financial services clients, corporates, investment managers, fund administrators, trust companies, investors and private clients.
• Managing complex, high-quality contentious matters with strong technical expertise, commercial awareness and sound judgement.
• Drafting clear, accurate and persuasive legal documents, correspondence and advice.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues while contributing to client relationships, matter management and business development activity.

You should possess a qualification from a Commonwealth jurisdiction together with a strong academic background and a minimum of 5 years’ PQE, ideally within the 5–10 PQE range. In addition you should have experience in contentious regulatory matters, with knowledge of financial crime, sanctions and AML-related issues, excellent drafting skills, technical legal ability and commercial awareness.
