Senior Manager: Onboarding & Compliance Support

One of our valued clients – a growing financial services business – is seeking a proactive Senior Manager, Onboarding & Compliance Support to take ownership of its onboarding, CDD/KYC, screening and compliance-support function in Guernsey.

Based in modern offices and reporting to the Head of Operations, this is a hands-on leadership opportunity within a relatively new and expanding organisation.

Responsibilities include:

• Owning the end-to-end onboarding function, personally progressing complex cases, obtaining information from clients and ensuring CDD/KYC requirements are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Leading and supporting a team of two, managing the shared mailbox, delegating work effectively and establishing clear priorities, responsibilities and service standards.
• Overseeing periodic and trigger-event reviews, screening activity and incomplete CDD, ensuring issues are actively resolved or escalated to the appropriate appointed compliance officer.
• Reviewing existing processes and controls, identifying practical improvements and introducing stronger workflows, management information, automation and audit trails.

The successful candidate will be a doer as well as a manager: someone willing to work alongside the team, engage directly with clients to obtain necessary information and personally review cases when required. You will take genuine ownership of the function, rather than simply recording outstanding actions or relying on others to move matters forward.

You will bring strong practical knowledge of onboarding, CDD/KYC, screening and financial-crime controls within a regulated financial services environment. A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset is essential, together with the confidence to challenge incomplete information, resolve bottlenecks and balance regulatory requirements with a responsive client experience.

This role will suit someone organised, commercially aware and approachable who leads through action, communicates clearly and knows when to make a decision and when to escalate.
