At Firstcall Recruitment, we know how to stay competitive – on and off the field! This winter, we took our talents to the driving range, competing in the Winter League at Golf 19, sponsored by Leapfrog.
Over four exciting weeks, teams battled it out using Toptracer technology in “The Major Series,” playing virtual versions of some of the world’s most iconic golf courses.
With 14 teams vying for glory, we rallied a group of dedicated golfers ready to take on the challenge. From week one, our team (Pictured L to R : Jack Mitchell, Tom Johnson, Finlay Crowson and, Team Captain – Marcel) showed steady form, staying in contention throughout the league.
After four weeks of gripping competition, we found ourselves tied for first place with a talented team of young golfers.
The play-off match brought added drama, as Marcel, battled through the dreaded winter flu to lead us in the final showdown. Despite being on the back foot, Marcel delivered when it mattered most, inspiring the team to dig deep. The match was incredibly close, coming down to the wire, but in the end, we edged out the competition by just one point to claim the championship and of course, the generous prize of £400 JamGolf vouchers!
The Winter League proved to be more than just a competition; it was a fantastic way to stay active and social during the colder months. Our team thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie and competitive spirit of the event.
