Credit and Lending Services Legal Officer – 18 months FTC

An established and distinctive international financial services business is seeking a Credit and Lending Services Legal Officer to join its friendly, collaborative team in either Guernsey or Jersey.

This is a full-time, 18-month fixed-term opportunity within a people-centric organisation that values fresh thinking, professional development and face-to-face collaboration.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting lending transactions throughout their lifecycle, including preparing facility and security documentation, coordinating completions and managing matters through to drawdown.
• Drafting, reviewing and finalising documentation for new facilities, renewals, extensions and amendments, while maintaining accurate loan and security records.
• Liaising closely with relationship managers, clients, solicitors, external counsel and other professional advisers to keep transactions moving and resolve outstanding matters.
• Identifying and escalating legal, credit, operational or completion issues, while contributing ideas that strengthen controls, streamline processes and improve team efficiency.

You may be an experienced paralegal or legal assistant, or have relevant experience within credit operations, lending administration or deal management. Previous exposure to property transactions, secured lending, banking and finance, loan administration or completion processes would be particularly valuable, although a genuine willingness to develop this knowledge is equally important.
