Onboarding – New Business & Risk Officer

A respected financial services organisation is seeking a highly organised Onboarding – New Business & Risk Officer to join its friendly team in Guernsey.

This is a full-time opportunity within a people-centric business where colleagues work closely together in the office to share knowledge, resolve issues and deliver an efficient, high-quality client experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing new client and account onboarding workflows, ensuring applications, risk assessments, screening results, searches and supporting documentation are complete and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Completing ongoing client maintenance and trigger-event reviews, addressing discrepancies, updating client information and risk assessments, and progressing cases efficiently through to completion.
• Undertaking enhanced CDD for higher-risk and PEP relationships, working closely with Relationship Managers to obtain appropriate due diligence, supporting evidence and clearly documented rationale.
• Supporting FATCA and CRS requirements, daily screening monitoring, static data changes and account amendments, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, consistency and the overall client experience.

You should have practical experience of account opening, KYC/CDD processes, client risk reviews and regulatory requirements, ideally gained within a bank or another established financial services organisation together with a strong understanding of corporate client structures and a detailed knowledge of FATCA and CRS requirements.
